Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation

In 2002, Chi Omega nationally partnered with Make-A-Wish. Since then, Chi Omega has raised more than 20 million dollars and has volunteered over 1,000,000 hours for Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish is a nonprofit organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness.

At the Zeta Mu chapter, we partner with Make-A-Wish of Colorado and raise money with different events, such as Wings for Wishes and Bake A Wish. Since our chapter was founded we've donated 1,000 hours and raised over 20,000 dollars!

Here are some words about the organization from our President, Kat Stambaugh, who had the pleasure to intern with Make-A-Wish during the summer of 2019!

❝ I had the opportunity to intern for Chi O’s philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in my hometown of Philadelphia. After experiencing first-hand the power of a wish as a child lights up when hearing their wish has been granted at their Send-Off Celebration or accompanying a Wish Kid on their shopping spree, I’m motivated to bring all of that contagious joy and passion back to Zeta Mu. Make-A-Wish is so much bigger than just granting wishes; it brings families and communities together to make a child’s, once in a lifetime, dream come true. ❞
